Arsenal close in on Jurrien Timber transfer as Edu agrees £40m deal with Ajax

Declan Rice given ‘green light’ for Arsenal medical as details emerge about massive £105m transfer

Rice was believed to have made moving to the Emirates his priority this summer, while football.london He understood that Arsenal saw the midfielder as a priority.
The north London side wished to avoid a bidding war and made an early first bid worth £80 million following West Ham’s European success. That was turned down before another offer worth a total of £90m was also turned down, with Manchester City beginning to lurk in the background.
Pep Guardiola’s team, after a famous treble but with the loss of a key player in Ilkay Gundogan, reaffirmed their interest by making a formal offer. That offer was also rejected, however the price was nearing the £100m mark that was widely claimed to be the valuation, meaning a team had to blink first.
