BFC’s defence, which looked in trouble when they conceded their 20th goal of the season in the very first minute, came back strongly with at least two unbelievable saves, one by Parag Shrivas, that helped them carve out a crucial win with goals from Cleiton Silva (62, 90+3) and Sunil Chhetri (55th).
The win, which stretched BFC’s unbeaten run to nine matches, took them to the third spot with 23 points as JFC slipped to fourth.
Chhetri found the equaliser (1-1) connecting a long throw-in by Pratik Chaudhari in the 55th minute. It was Chhetri’s 49th goal which put him in second spot in the all-time list. Cleiton Silva then joined the party, first in the 62nd (the ball went in off a deflection) and in the third minute of added time with an insurance goal.

Earlier, Daniel Chima Chukwu continued his golden run for his new team, netting the opener in the very first minute (the second fastest goal of the season in 46 seconds) to shock Bengaluru.
Medios Alexandre Lima and Boris Singh drove in through the left and found Chukwu darting in front of the goal. The Nigerian, one of the best in business, held off the challenge from Alan Costa and Roshan Singh and stabbed it past Gurpreet Singh Sandhu.
BFC slowly worked their way back and came the closest in the 40th minute following a corner kick. Roshan sent in a superb ball that flew down to the far post. Both Sunil Chhetri and Cleiton Silva tried to head in but missed narrowly.
Result: Bengaluru FC 3 (Cleiton 62, 90+3, Chhetri 55) bt Jamshedpur FC 1 (Chukwu 1).
