55 minutes: It’s worth noting that, despite being 77 years old or thereabouts leading up to that third goal, Karim Benzema sprinted into his own half from the inside, just on the off chance that Edouard Mendy would screw up his pass to Antonio Rudiger after advancing from his penalty area to a ball of deep to handle. The Chelsea goalkeeper did that properly and Benzema took full advantage.

50 minutes: Thibaut Courtois makes a brilliant save from a coming attempt by Cesar Azpilicueta from distance, pushing the ball over with his fingertips. Nothing comes out of the corner.

49 minutes: Anyway, before being rudely interrupted, I tried to tell you about Mateo Kovacic standing up for Andreas Christensen and Chelsea switching to a back four. She did that well. Hakim Ziyech is also present and replaces N’Golo Kante.

A disaster for Chelsea. Mendy plays a ball over the top, comes out of his penalty area and sells Rudiger short with a short pass. Benzema sneaks in, grabs the ball and rolls it into a gaping target. Already on a yellow card, Rudiger could not insult him and his challenge was half-hearted.
