Chelsea transfer news: Eden Hazard offer, Timo Werner departure, Antonio Rudiger boost

Chelsea will have their full focus on the Champions League and FA Cup this season as they appeared to have failed to achieve a title. The aim for next season will be to maintain a challenge at the top of the table and win back another Premier League trophy.

If Thomas Tuchel wants to do that, then the summer could prove to be a crucially important moment for the German coach and his team. With the transfer window open once again, the Blues can add to their ranks.

Chelsea have already been linked with several players for the window as they look at potential moves. With that said, football.london has taken a look at the latest transfer rumors emanating from the Emirates Stadium.

Real Madrid listens to Eden Hazard’s offers

Chelsea have been linked with a move for former Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard, following a difficult time for the Belgian. The 31-year-old has made just 17 La Liga appearances this season, with a number of injuries hampering him.

Despite making the move for more than £100m in 2019, AS report that Los Blancos are willing to listen to offers for the winger in a bid to move him. The report claims that his aim is to sign Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer and that Hazard would have to leave if he joins.

Exit Timo Werner

Chelsea striker Timo Werner has been the subject of potential exit talks in recent weeks, having struggled to translate his performances from RB Leipzig to the Premier League. The Daily Express reports that Werner’s advisor Volker Struth has discussed a possible transfer with Juventus, AC Milan and Atalanta.

Since making his £47m move, the German has only scored 19 goals in 81 competitive appearances and Struth is said to be actively seeking a move away.

Impulse of Antonio Rüdiger

Chelsea have received a potential boost in their attempts to retain defender Antonio Rudiger for next season. The German international will become a free agent in the summer, and Thomas Tuchel has already stated his desire to keep him for next season.

The 29-year-old has been linked with various clubs and Barcelona is one of the latest. However, journalist Fabricius Romano reports that the Blaugrana are unlikely to make a move for the centre-back as team-mate Andreas Christensen is considering a move to the Camp Nou.
