The last few weeks have been difficult for Chelsea fans, with an uncertain future hanging over the club amid talks of a takeover. It comes after Russian owner Roman Abramovich had his assets frozen by the UK government, putting the Blues under a special license allowing them to operate, but only under certain sporting circumstances.
It means that, at the moment, the club cannot make any transfers or renew any contract until a takeover bid is completed. That hasn’t stopped Thomas Tuchel’s team from linking up with a number of players as they prepare for a big summer.
Several players will leave as free agents at the end of the season, leaving the German with fewer options and a need for potential reinforcements. With that being said, we’ve taken a look at some of the latest Chelsea-related transfer rumours.

PSG are said to have set their sights on Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku as a potential option in the summer. The Belgian is said to be “unhappy” with things at Stamford Bridge, just months after he made the club’s record move from Inter Milan.
Juventus have joined the race to sign Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger at the end of the season, with the German international set to become a free agent. The 29-year-old has been highly coveted by a number of clubs, including Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
Chelsea transfer target Raphinha is said to have a release clause depending on how his Leeds side finish this season. The winger, who has scored nine this season, is said to have a release clause of £75m if his team stays in the Premier League, but it is reduced to £25m if the Whites are relegated to the Championship.
