Conor Coady believes the Everton players need to keep pushing themselves and each other in their fight to stay out of the relegation zone.

Seamus Coleman scored Saturday’s lone goal against fellow contenders Leeds United, which saw the Blues move out of the relegation zone after Sean Dyche’s side achieved back-to-back home wins following Frank Lampard’s takeover.

Since the 51-year-old’s arrival, attitudes at Goodison Park have changed as players try to stay out of harm’s way for a second successive season. Dyche has already made his mark on the team with some of his fundamentals, as snoods and hats are not allowed during practice.

Everton and Liverpool hit with several penalties after Merseyside derby brawl

Everton and Liverpool have both been fined by the FA after players from both clubs were involved in an altercation in the closing stages of the Merseyside derby earlier this month.

Chaos erupted when an argument broke out between Andy Robertson and Jordan Pickford, with both players later being booked for their part in a fight that attracted players from both sides – and several Liverpool substitutes.

Everton have been fined £40,000 and Liverpool £25,000 by an independent regulatory commission, the FA said.
