De Gea, 32, was reportedly offered a one-year contract extension on heavily reduced terms.

He is said to have even penned a new contract before United pulled out of the offer, and now the goalkeeper appears to be leaving Old Trafford.

Wilfried Zaha also appears to be leaving Crystal Palace after 12 years at the club.

He has been offered a club-record salary of £200,000 a week but is keen to play Champions League football under the interest of Lazio.

Meanwhile, Liverpool pair Roberto Firmino and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are looking forward to their next adventure after failing to receive contract offers from the club.

Firmino was told he was leaving several months ago and has been linked with a move to Barcelona.

Oxlade-Chamberlain’s injury problems could make it more difficult for the former England international to find a new club, but Brighton, Aston Villa and Newcastle are said to be interested earlier this year.
