Gurgaon residents in limbo after eviction notice

A day after the district administration ordered 140 families living in the NBCC Green View group housing company in Sector 37-D to vacate their homes by March 1 due to safety concerns, residents said they were in panic and uncertainty.

“The authorities have asked us to leave within two weeks, but there is no clarity or a concrete plan about the reimbursement. They’ve assured the NBCC will repay within a month, but what if the builder waives? We will be left in the dark. We cannot leave until we have received a refund. No alternative housing plans have been shared with us… We have complained several times about poor workmanship and structural problems, but the administration has only now woken up after the tragic incident in Chintels Paradiso…,” said SC Kaushik, vice president of the Association of Apartment Owners (AOAO), NBCC Green View Group Housing.
