Everton vs. Manchester United result: Cristiano Ronaldo & Co. defeated for big Toffees victory in relegation battle

Everton secured a crucial victory in their battle against relegation thanks to a first-half goal from Anthony Gordon that gave them three crucial points.

The Toffees were by no means a free-running game, they worked better than a poor Manchester United team, which again disappointed when their top four hopes took another blow.

A number of Everton players were in good form, with Jordan Pickford and Fabian Delph two of the highlights. Anthony Gordon also starred, scoring the winning goal after a deflected attack from outside the box that hit Harry Maguire and stranded David de Gea.

The win puts Everton four points clear of Burnley in 18th place, but the Clarets have a game in hand and are at the bottom for a crucial game against Norwich tomorrow. But for now, Everton fans can only celebrate their second win in eight games in the league.
