Hakimi is already thinking about the after PSG
Achraf Hakimi signed this summer for PSG, but his ultimate dream is to return to his former club Real and make a name for himself.
Achraf Hakimi has just signed for PSG for a fee of 60 million euros, but the agent of the Moroccan defender says that his dream is to return to Real Madrid one day.
After only one winning season at Serie A giants Inter, the Moroccan is now looking for a new challenge in France. However, a door has been left open for a return to the Spanish capital, after having climbed the ladder as a youngster at Santiago Bernabeu, and this even if Los Blancos have shown no desire to recover him in the future.
Hakimi, who made 17 appearances for Real before joining Borussia Dortmund on loan in 2018, is therefore hoping for the chance to come full circle. This was revealed by his representative, Alejandro Camano, in an interview with El Transistor: “Real Madrid had the right of first refusal until PSG and Inter declared that the deal was going to happen. We keep the hope and dream that Ashraf will return to Real Madrid because he was born in Madrid, grew up in Madrid and as a final goal, one day he would like to play for Real Madrid.”
Of course, Hakimi is not thinking about a return to Real yet. His immediate focus is on his new team PSG.
He has signed a five-year contract with the French runners-up and is looking forward to winning more major honors with the star-studded team. Speaking to PSG’s official website, he said, “After Spain, Germany and Italy, Paris Saint-Germain is offering me the chance to discover a new championship with one of the most prestigious clubs in the world. I can’t wait to meet my new teammates, the fans and to experience the incredible color and passion inside the Parc des Princes. I share the same high ambitions as the coaching staff and my teammates and I will do everything I can to deliver what is expected of me.”
