Andy Robertson joked that he doesn’t want to talk about the impending departure from Anfield this summer ahead of their farewell on Saturday.

Aston Villa’s visit marks the penultimate game of the Premier League season for the Reds and in turn the final home game of the season. Roberto Firmino, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita and James Milner will bid farewell to the Anfield stalwarts as the curtain falls on their respective Merseyside careers.

All four outfielders have played their part in the success under Jurgen Klopp, with both the Brazilian and veteran England midfielder arriving in L4 under German predecessor Brendan Rodgers.

Both Keita and Oxlade-Chamberlain have played their part in the pursuit of silverware, but both have endured ongoing injury problems that have hampered their Liverpool careers.

All are out of contracts in the summer. Firmino, who has been absent with injury in recent weeks, is lined up for a return to the match squad ahead of an emotional farewell at Anfield. The 31-year-old has made more than 360 appearances for Liverpool and remains one of the most used players under Klopp.

Both during and after their impressive victory over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium, Firmino was serenaded by the traveling fans as the players joined in with the infamous ‘Si Senor’ chant.

“I don’t want to talk about it. Look, I think everyone got a taste of what the farewell will be like for them, so it’s going to be quite emotional I think.” the Scotland captain told BT Sports.

“I think it’s going to be quite an emotional day.”
