Mohamed Salah recently gave an honest interview with FourFourTwo’s Chris Flanagan about his contract situation at Liverpool. The Egyptian king reiterated his wish to stay with the club and the FourFourTwo journalist supported it based on what he saw.
The story of Mohamed Salah and his contract negotiations with Liverpool seem to go on and on, but now that things are going well on the pitch, Liverpool fans have been able to take their minds off.
One thing is for sure, we will see the attacker here next season, and Salah himself confirms that in the interview. Whether he will continue there, however, is still up in the air.
The signs are looking good at the moment and journalist Chris Flanagan noticed how relaxed Salah was during his interview with him.
Speaking to This Is Anfield, Flanagan gave his honest opinion on how he thought the Liverpool star came across, giving a positive outlook on the fan base.
“He seemed very relaxed about everything, including his future.
“I’m sure in an ideal world he would rather have signed and sealed a new deal, but I didn’t feel like he was stressed about it.
“In fact, I specifically asked him if he was worried about the prospect of potentially going into the last year of his contract without the situation being resolved, and he insisted he wasn’t.

He also stated that he believes that Mohamed Salah’s main goal is to stay with the club.
“I got the feeling that his main goal is definitely to stay at the club, but that he was willing to wait a little longer to get the best deal possible if needed.
“That’s all part of how negotiations work, but he was pretty clear that he wants to stay, even if at this stage he couldn’t guarantee 100 percent that he will, because talks are still ongoing.
“I think when he said ‘the fans know what I want’ he was referring to the fact that he wants to stay at the club and extend his contract.
