A family has been banned from a village in Chikkamagaluru and residents have been threatened with a Rs 5,000 fine if they interact with them. Family crime: Son Somashekhar married a Dalit woman. The couple tied the knot in 2019 and worked in Bengaluru. During the second wave in 2021, they were forced to return to their village. Since their return, the family has been boycotted. Fed up, Somashekhar has said that if the boycott continues, the family will convert to Christianity. Full story here
