LIVE transfer news: Man Utd quit deal, Arsenal have plan Kante, Eriksen doctor | Soccer | Sport

Things are starting to get very interesting in the summer transfer window, as Premier League clubs across the country begin to take off on their pre-season tours. We’re only four weeks away from the start of the new campaign, and for some teams, reinforcements are desperately needed before then.

One of those clubs that most need it. new talent is Manchester United. The Red Devils have still only managed to bring in one player so far this summer – left-back Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord – as fans start to lose patience. However, reports indicate that they are closing in on free agent goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha, although there may not be such good news about RB Leipzig striker Brian Brobbey, who now looks set to join Ajax permanently.

By contrast, Tottenham have been one of the most active clubs so far, bringing in no less than five new players so far. However, they now need to sell to balance the books, and their brutal decision to drop several previously important players from their South Korea tour suggests departures are expected soon.

Across London, there is good news for Chelsea, who are closing in on a deal to sign Raheem Sterling from Manchester City. And with Arsenal, Newcastle, Everton and Leeds all expected to spend more money, there is plenty to look forward to in the coming days and weeks.
