Klopp admits substitutions made all the difference in Liverpool derby

Liverpool midfielder Fabinho has a cheeky swipe at Everton’s Richarlison after the Reds’ 2-0 win in Sunday’s Merseyside derby.

Andy Robertson’s second goal of the season and Divock Origi’s sixth goal in nine derby games secured a crucial Premier League win for Liverpool, keeping them on the hunt for a historic quadruple this season. And after the result, Fabinho turned a dig at Richarlison as he took to social media to celebrate the win.

It comes as Everton ace Anthony Gordon has made a tricky U-turn after looking back at his penalty claim during the derby against Liverpool. And Alisson’s wife reacted to his impersonation of Jordan Pickford in the closing stages of Sunday’s game.

Alisson’s wife reacts to ‘Pickford moment’

The wife of Liverpool goalkeeper Allison has commented on his antics in the closing minutes of Sunday’s Merseyside derby.

The Reds shot-stopper got huge cheers from Anfield supporters when he fell to the ground catching the ball – in a clear impression from Jordan Pickford. The Everton goalkeeper had resorted to going to the ground with the ball in his arms to help bring the clock down with the score still at 0-0 – much to the ire of home support.

Alisson made fun of Pickford towards the end of the match with a clear impression of the England number 1. And after the match Alisson’s wife Natalia Becker ‘licked’ clips and posts about her husband’s antics on Twitter.

Gordon makes U-turn fine claim

Everton forward Anthony Gordon has admitted he “understands why the referee didn’t give a penalty” after recalling an incident involving him with Joel Matip in Sunday’s Merseyside derby.

The 21-year-old was given a booking for diving prior to the entanglement with Matip, after going in the box after trying to get past Naby Keita. And Gordon has now reacted to both incidents, which could have helped to turn the score in Everton’s favour, as he insisted on both occasions he did not try to win a penalty.

Fabinho’s cheeky swipe at Richarlison

Liverpool’s Fabinho has made a brutal dig at Brazilian team-mate Richarlison after Sunday’s Merseyside derby.

The Reds went 2-0 winners to boost their hopes for Premier League titles and leave their rivals in the relegation zone after Burnley’s 1-0 win over Wolves. Everton’s Richarlison shut down home support during the draw, which sent the Brazilian ace out for falling in a clear indication that they believed he was making the most of the challenges.

And Fabinho seems to agree with that assessment when he posted a photo to Instagram of Richarlison going down holding his face as Fabinho takes the ball past him. “What a win!” read the caption. “Till the end, guys!”
