Liverpool have many decisions to make heading into the summer, with their midfield the top priority to sort out after a campaign that has seen Jürgen Klopp’s side fight in midfield.
Among the rumors today are two midfield stars, although one is a player much more likely to end up at Anfield in the summer than the other, with Liverpool looking to exploit a contract situation.
However, one player who will definitely not move is Mohamed Salah. His agent moved quickly to scrap talks about a departure earlier today when it was suggested that the Egyptian might be open to a transfer.

Salah will be a big part of the rebuild, even if both Roberto Firmino and Sadio ManHe will be gone by the time next season begins, with the pieces for Liverpool’s new attack already at the club.
Instead, midfield is where the next reshuffle should take place. And with that in mind, here’s Liverpool.com’s verdict on the transfer gossip swirling around the Reds today.
Mount Mason (Chelsea)
Chelsea star Mason Mount has been linked with Liverpool for a while now, but Fabrizio Romano reports it is now “highly likely” that he will leave the Stamford Bridge side in the summer.
That’s because he’s changed agents, now being represented by Neil Fewings, who is part of the ROOF group, which also represents the likes of Jordan Henderson and Virgil van Dijk.
Indeed, as ECHO points out, Henderson was a key factor in Liverpool’s move for Van Dijk from Southampton, and the pair spoke ahead of the switch about what life is like at Anfield. There is speculation that something similar could now happen with Mount, with Henderson becoming something of a ‘secret weapon’.
The Guardian reported this week that it would be available for around $60 million (£50 million/€55 million).
Liverpool.com says: An agency change often means a player is ready to move on, and Mount has yet to reach a new deal even though the situation has been ongoing for months. If Liverpool want the player, it seems likely they can do it for the right price with just 12 months left on his contract for the summer.
Ryan Gravenberch (Bayern Munich)
Liverpool are in ‘advanced’ negotiations to sign former Ajax player Ryan Gravenberch, according to Fichajes, with the Spanish outlet claiming the deal is almost done before the summer.
Jürgen Klopp reportedly called for a big summer investment after the Champions League exit at the hands of Real Madrid, though it’s not as if that loss showed new problems that haven’t been around for much of the season.
Former Liverpool defender José Enrique was incorrectly quoted earlier in the week as saying a deal was made for Gravenberch when he seemed to be talking about the player in a different capacity (read more about that here).
Liverpool.com says: Surely this report hasn’t come off of what Enrique supposedly said? Bayern Munich have insisted for a while that Gravenberch is still part of Julian Nagelsmann’s plans, with Bild journalist Christian Falk telling Caught Offside last week that the Bundesliga outfit was becoming more “annoyed” with the speculations surrounding the young midfielder.
