Liverpool transfer news as $64m ‘talk ahead’ and Spurs ‘concerned’ about Jürgen Klopp hijacking – Liverpool.com
Liverpool have more work to do this summer and things seem to be gaining momentum across the transfer market, with several big money moves starting to fall into place.
The Reds have already secured Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, while players like Declan Rice could soon add to the number of deals the Premier League sides have secured.
Chelsea could get even busier, while Manchester United and Manchester City will also have to enter the market. Those moves will have to pay off or many of the coaches aiming for the European places could come under pressure.

For Liverpool, the priority remains another midfielder and possibly a defender as well. Of Jürgen Klopp’s team are already looking good, a few more moves would make that very exciting before the new season starts.
Here’s Liverpool.com’s verdict on the transfer gossip emerging around the Reds today, starting with a look at Southampton midfielder Roméo Lavia and ending with a claim about Spurs and a possible hijacking.
Romeo Lavia (Southampton)
Former Manchester City midfielder Lavia has emerged as one of the main contenders for Liverpool this summer as Southampton look $64m (£50m / €58m) for him 12 months after signing him.
Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri tweeted that “talks on the player’s side are progressing well” and that ideally Liverpool would like him to sign in time for training camp in Germany in mid-July.
Liverpool. com says: Lavia would be a good third signing for Liverpool as the player is clearly very talented. He has now played a full season in the Premier League and was previously coached by Pep Guardiola. Those are certainly some good taps in his box.
Edmond Tapsoba (Bayer Leverkusen)
Spurs are starting to get ‘concerned’ about a possible Liverpool hijack for the transfer of Bayer Leverkusen defender Edmond Tapsoba, according to 90Min.
Tottenham Hotspur look poised to sign Wolfsburg defender Micky van de Ven, but could also consider signing Tabsoba, with Liverpool, Manchester United and Newcastle also mentioned as possible destinations for the 24-year-old centre-back .
Liverpool. com says: Liverpool are in the market for a central defender, but it remains to be seen which one they are aiming for. Levi Colwill at Chelsea would be the dream option, but whether that is realistic at all is not yet known. Tapsoba is a good player, but chances are that The Reds look for someone with a higher ceiling.
