Liverpool transfer news: Liverpool could ‘rekindle’ their interest in Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski

According to Polish journalist Wojciech Piela via LFC Transfer Room, Liverpool could sign Piotr Zielinski with the player’s contract expiring in 2024. Napoli would like to re-sign Zielinski, but only on a lower salary. Jurgen Klopp was apparently a fan of the player when he was at Empoli in Serie A, before joining Napoli. Lazio are also reportedly interested in signing Zielinski, as Maurizio Sarri coached the Polish international at Napoli.

Liverpool transfer news: Manchester United lead the race to sign Kim Min-Jae amid interest from Liverpool and City

According to Footmercato’s Santi Aouna and Sebastian Denis, Manchester United have been in talks with Napoli defender Kim Min-Jae. United has laid out its project in the proposal and will push the talks forward in the coming weeks. Kim Min-Jae is also admired by Liverpool. Footmercato revealed earlier this month that Min-Jae’s entourage has been holding internal discussions about a possible trade to the Reds. Kim Min-Jae has become arguably the best defender in Serie A and was crucial for the Napoli scudetto.

As reported by The Top Flight, rumors are circulating that Manchester City are also interested in the South Korean international.

Liverpool transfer news: Liverpool could make ‘disappointing’ move for Southampton’s Duje Caleta-Car

As The Athletic’s James Pearce speculated on the Walk On podcast, Duje Caleta-Car is a possibility for Liverpool. It should be noted that there is no significant interest in the player at this time, but they have scouted Caleta-Car in the past. Caleta-Car has not been a regular starter for Southampton and with the club on the brink of relegation, a move for the Croatian international looks like a poor choice.
