Manchester City have signed a three-year shirt sponsorship deal with cryptocurrency exchange OKX worth more than £55 million.
The Premier League champions believe they are poised to break revenue records and capitalize on their Treble success.
That was made more likely by securing a contract of around £18 million per season for the sleeves of the men’s and women’s kits.
City have been accused by the Premier League of 115 alleged financial breaches, but CEO Ferran Soriano praised their rising appeal.
“It’s about hard work — we didn’t do anything out of the ordinary,” he said.
“This year our revenue will exceed £700 million. This is the British record and we are probably No. 1 in Europe and also in the world. We have a good football club, we play very good football and we win.

‘That helps us to sell more merchandise. Our sales last season were 80 percent higher than the previous season.’
Soriano added: “Four days after winning the Champions League, our sales were as high as we usually sell in a month. That’s part of winning and playing good football. People watch us, fall in love with our football and become fans. That brings commercial opportunities and more money to invest. It’s a virtuous circle.’
City previously had a £15 million a year contract with OKX to sponsor the club’s training kit and will soon announce a new partner to do so.
Meanwhile, Benjamin Mendy’s contract with City expired on Friday night. The France international’s retrial for one count of rape and one attempted rape began this week at Chester Crown Court.
