Manchester United sends a message to Alejandro Garnacho before the meeting with Lionel Messi

Manchester United are eager for teenage hopefuls alexander garnacho to savor every moment of being called up to Argentina’s senior team for their next World Cup qualifiers.

Garnacho, 17, is one of seven teenage players who have been named in Lionel Scaloni’s squad for World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela and Ecuador this month. With World Cup qualification already assured heading into the next round of matches, Argentina looks to seize the opportunity to secure the long-term future of exciting talents who hold dual citizenship.

Garnacho was born in Spain but qualifies to play for the South Americans through his mother and will have the opportunity to train alongside Lionel Messi next week. It’s another proud moment for United at youth level and academy director Nick Cox is keen for the talented teenager to enjoy the incredible opportunity.

“We have to celebrate all the guys getting international recognition at the junior and senior level,” Cox told club media. “It’s a wonderful time in a child’s life to represent their country or play international football and it’s a brilliant learning opportunity.

“There are things that come from international football that the academy can’t offer, the nature of the competition, the types of opposition, the places you could go in the world, so it’s a wonderful experience that complements the program of the We have always been aware of Alejandro’s dual nationality and it is beautiful for him to have two wonderful footballing nations interested in his talent.
