Mumbai Live News: Mumbai reported 1,411 new Covid-19 infections and 11 deaths on Saturday. The total number of Covid-19 cases in the financial capital is 10,44,470 while the total number of deaths is 16,602.

The daily death toll in Maharashtra rose by 103 on Friday, the highest number of fatalities since August 2021. The state also registered 24,948 new infections, 1.8 percent less than the day before. All 110 new Omicron cases in the state were reported from the city of Pune.

For the first time in the third wave in Mumbai, the slum-dominated Dharavi area registered no new infections on Friday. Meanwhile, the Government of Maharashtra and the Municipality of Brihanmumbai have assured the Bombay Supreme Court that the situation regarding the third wave is under control and that the authorities are fully prepared to face any eventuality.

With 103, Maharashtra records the highest number of deaths in one day since August; state records 110 Omicron cases, 24,948 covid-19 cases. Follow the latest updates here.
