After an unprecedented delay, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has finally thrown open the Rabale vehicular/pedestrian subway on the busy Thane-Belapur road near the Rabale MIDC Police Station. t
The metro connects the MIDC corridor of Trans Thane Creek (TTC) to the visibly busy T-junction, the start and end point of Mulund-Airoli Link Road.
The project was delayed for a few years due to two major obstacles: public toilets and a shop. The eviction of these structures has paved the way for the operationalization of this important link stretch, which is a relief to the local residents, especially students who were forced to hunt on the Thane Belapur road. Many hope that road accidents will also be minimized.
