Napoli v Liverpool: Match Prediction
Liverpool’s start to the season has not been the best, but they have a chance to turn things around in the club’s favorite competition, the Champions League.
The Reds travel to Serie A Leaders Napoli in hopes of doing better this year after losing to Real Madrid in the final last year.
An injury to Fabio Carvalho could mean a return to the first team for James Milner and a possible debut for former Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo. A start for the veteran will favor the hosts and allow them to control the midfield.
Fabinho will have to be at his best if Liverpool are to get the three points. The Brazilian will have his eyes on Piotr Zielinski’s runs.
Napoli are a very attacking team and will try to get to the wings as much as possible. Hirving Lozano’s marking by Andy Robertson will be central to Jürgen Klopp’s defense plans.
Because the Italian team is so progressive, the Reds could win the game by exploiting the space in the wide areas.
Luis Diaz is in inspired form and hopefully that will pass to Mohamed Salah. The lack of tracking from Napoli’s wingers will keep their fullbacks isolated.

Darwin Nunez impressed in the Champions League last year and will be keeping an eye on this match. Napoli is suspicious in the back and the Uruguayan gets many opportunities. He has to take them.

Napoli have a very good chance of hurting Jürgen Klopp’s men. Napoli’s attacking threat could be too great to stay out of, but their defense will cost them the game.
Liverpool’s front three can have plenty of opportunities and if they are clinical overnight they can score at least four goals.
