Manchester City are the only side not to lose any of their last six games, and Pep Guardiola has won five to keep their title hopes alive. Arsenal remain favorites in that battle, although they have won every game since losing to the reigning champions.
The top two are the only ones who have all but secured Champions League qualification, with Brighton and Liverpool closing the gap to Manchester United, Tottenham and Newcastle last month, although a late win for Eddie Howe’s side and the draw from Spurs against Southampton the last time. have put the Magpies in a position of strength.
Chelsea’s hopes of qualifying for the Europa League, let alone the Champions League, look slim after their draw with Everton, who are in the best form of those vying to stay in the Premier League.
