“PSG and Manchester City’s shi**y money is not enough,” says ex-Bayern Munich president

Football News: Former FC Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness had harsh words for both Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City. 

Uli Hoeness’ rant was based on the fact that Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City have splashed a lot of cash in recent years. Both the clubs were struggling in the 2000s but have become powerhouses of European football now. 

Manchester City reached the final of the UEFA Champions League last season. Similarly, Paris Saint-Germain reached the Champions League Finals 2019/20. Both the clubs have also dominated their respective domestic leagues in the last decade. 

But Uli Hoeness has hit out on both the clubs for not being able to win the Champions League trophy despite splashing so much money on the players.

Uli Hoeness talked about Bayern’s Champions League victory and PSG, Manchester City on the 11 Leben podcast. And his statement was recorded by Marca, The former president expressed his joy about Bayern Munich winning the 2019/20 Champions League title. 

But he was much more excited that Bayern Munich beat Paris Saint Germain for the title. As per his statement, it doesn’t look like Hoeness is a big fan of Manchester City or Paris Saint Germain. 

The former Bayern president said, “So far these two clubs [PSG and Manchester City] have not won anything [In Europe], Nothing at all.”

Hoeness then added “They will lose to us again. Not always, but from time to time. That should be our goal. And when we beat them, that makes me very happy. Show them: Your sh**ty money is not enough.”

The former Bayern Munich president then talked about the PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi. He talked about how different the thinking process was between him and Khelaifi. 

Hoeness said that at Bayern he saw things from a financial point of view. He didn’t want to invest everything at once, and then get the club in financial trouble. He said that whatever decisions he made at the German club, it was for a minimum period of three-four years. 

Talking about Khalaifi, Hoeness stated that he believed the PSG president does not even like football. The German added that Khalaifi received the money as a gift whereas he worked for it. He then added that PSG only plans for one year and then gets the player at their disposal.
