PSG star Neymar praises Manchester City duo Kyle Walker and Ruben Dias
Ruben Dias and Kyle Walker are two players regarded by many as some of the best defenders in the world and it seems PSG forward Neymar is among those who highly value the City pair.
This is unbelievably high praise when you consider the number of top-level defenders the Brazilian has met, given how long the winger has been playing at the elite level.
The 30-year-old stormed the European scene in 2013 when he signed for Barcelona and his appearances with the Spanish giants led PSG to pay a record-breaking fee to take over the Brazilian’s services in 2017.
The Brazilian met City last season in the group stage of the Champions League. His side won against Pep Guardiola’s men in the first game, beating The Cityzens 2-0, but the Sky Blues would take revenge in the second game, beating Neymar’s side 2-1.
And it seems that two City defenders have made a big impression on the Brazilian star. When Neymar was asked by DAZN who was the toughest defender he encountered, he replied: “(Kyle) Walker. Because he’s fast, strong and intelligent.”
The PSG man was also asked for his thoughts on Walker’s team-mate Dias, to which he replied: “Ruben Dias is a very good central defender. He is fast and strong. He also has quality, so that makes it difficult to play against him.”

Both gentlemen will be out of action this weekend as all Premier League games have been canceled as a mark of respect following Queen Elizabeth II’s death, but the duo should be back in action on Wednesday night when The Citzyzens take on Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League -action.
