Real Madrid and Manchester City could not be separated in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final. Vinicius Junior gave Los Blancos the lead with a stunning shot, but it was canceled out by a brilliant goal from Kevin De Bruyne. In the end, the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
Both teams have everything to fight for in the second leg. Real Madrid are aiming to win their fifteenth Champions League crown. On the other hand, Manchester City are still looking for their first win in the league.
Most people would consider Manchester City the minor favorites at this stage. Pep Guardiola’s side has home field advantage in the second leg.
Of course, this Real Madrid team has the experience to handle any type of situation. So you would hope that they can handle the occasion again, when the pressure is high. And heading into the second leg, they have gained a timely advantage.
The Real Madrid player could return against Manchester City in the second leg
As reported by Cadena SER (via 90min), Dani Ceballos has recovered from his injury and could play a part in Manchester.
Ceballos has established himself as a key player for Real Madrid this season. He was originally expected to leave as a free agent at the end of this campaign. But now the Spaniard seems to be getting an extension from Los Blancos.
As a result, his return would certainly be a boost for Carlo Ancelotti’s side. Ceballos certainly gives them a lot of quality in midfield and has also proven this season that he has the ability to turn a game around from the bench.
The second leg in Manchester is expected to be very close. So Real Madrid could use every advantage they can get.
