Report: Liverpool interested in Ibrahim Sangare transfer
Following Liverpool’s disappointing start to the season, the focus has now shifted to how manager Jurgen Klopp can change the fortunes of his team.
The Reds got off to a slow start in the Premier League with just nine points from their first six games and were humiliated on matchday one of the Champions League, losing 4-1 to Napoli.
There is no doubt that Klopp was hampered by an injury crisis at the club which saw him at one point miss ten first-team players.
Midfield options were extremely limited for the 55-year-old with Thiago Alcantara, Curtis Jones, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita and Jordan Henderson all sidelined at various points.
It was the injury of Liverpool captain Henderson that seemed to prompt the Anfield hierarchy to quickly meet the transfer deadline to sign a season deal with Juventus for midfielder Arthur Melo.

With the midfield clearly in need of a refresh and investment, Calciomercato reports (via The Express) that Liverpool are interested in PSV midfielder Ibrahim Sangare.
There were already ties with the 24-year-old over the summer, but rivals Manchester United appeared to be at the wheel.
However, the Italian publication reports that Liverpool are looking to capitalize on the Red Devils’ hesitation by targeting the Ivorian to alleviate their problems in midfield.
They also state that there is interest from West Ham and AC Milan in a player who only recently extended his contract with the Eredivisie club.
